Why Tula? When I was scouring baby name books during my pregnancy with my daughter I came across the name Tula. I loved it but knew it wasn't the right fit for our daughter and family. It always stuck with me though and I thought of it immediately when thinking of business names. The name Tula has origins meaning gracious gift in Greek, peak in Native American, strength in German, leaping water in Spanish and new moon in English. I associate all of these meanings with labor and childbirth and thus TulaDoula Birth Services was born.
